The Queen's Tea
Her Floral Majesty,
2012 Lei Day Queen Hokulani Fo,
invites you to join her for
a light
Tea
while partaking of the
Lei Day
festivities
1 May 2012
The Queen's Tea
will be held
at
half-past noon
on the upstairs lanai
at the East Hawai`i Cultural Center
In
Downtown Hilo
The Queen's Tea is prepared entirely by volunteers, and the food and beverages are provided by the farmers and businesses listed on this page as their aloha for this community event.
The Queen's Tea is her mahalo to the many Lei Day volunteers and their guests. It takes hour after hour of dedicated work to put on an event like Lei Day, and some of the volunteers work year-round: Maintaining regalia, researching and documenting lei styles, and providing educational programs. This is the Queen's opportunity to say, "Mahalo nui loa."
